Priority Mapping
Greater Execution on Strategy.

Staying Productive, Energized and Focused.

Most people, when faced with change, uncertainty and pressure to go faster, plan less. Yet the productive, agile response is to stop, think and plan more. This highly engaging virtual session will provide you with immensely practical planning strategies to help you manage your priorities, your time and your energy in the new game of constant change and hybrid work.

This virtual workshop is provided in a 90-120 minute format.

Priority Mapping (intermediate planning).

  • Stopping, thinking and adjusting for change. Reconciling changing priorities with long term strategy and direction.
  • Creating a Priority Map. Translating our longer term strategic priorities into a clear, meaningful, actionable plan for the month ahead.
  • Ensuring that we’re aligned with our Leader and Team. Faced with fewer touchpoints in the hybrid workplace we need to proactively use powerful aligning questions to ensure that we’re clear & confident about where to focus our efforts (and where not to focus our efforts).

Paying Priorities First (weekly/daily planning).

  • How to plan for connect time. Instead of hoping that “connecting” will happen spontaneously (it won’t) we need to plan for connect time – it’s critical for psychological safety, collaboration, networking/career growth and mental wellness.
  • Smart Time Blocking. How to apply smart time blocking strategies to carve out time for our key strategic priorities. (instead of waiting for a “good time” when there’s nothing else to do, and no more change or uncertainty.)
  • Planning your work-at-home day vs your work in the office day. They’re not the same and we’ll show you how to best plan for each.

Triaging change. How to prioritize, and if necessary, push back on, some incoming tasks, requests and issues.

  • Resisting the Noise. How to “resist the noise” of technology (email, IM, Social Media) and create small windows of high quality, undistracted focus time.
  • 7 Best Practices to help us negotiate and, when necessary, deliver a positive, diplomatic push back on some lower priority requests.
